With the Raven Compact you are able to scan many documents including thicker documents like IDs, Insurance cards, and envelopes. There are two inputs to scan these types of documents on the Raven Compact, the front input and the back input. To accomplish this please follow the steps below!
How to Scan an IDs, Envelopes, etc.. Using the Front Input
- Open the Cover of the Front Input Tray.
- Load your ID, Envelop, or Single Page Document into the front input tray with the top of the page pointing to the front input tray. Make sure the text is facing down.
- Make sure to center your document using the paper size marks on the input tray.
- Press Scan on Raven Desktop or on your Compact Scanner directly.
- The document will now pull through your scanner to scan and then come back out the way it scanned in.
- View your now scanned document on the Page Preview page of Raven Desktop or if Auto Send is turned on you can view it in its current destination.
How to Scan an IDs, Envelopes, etc.. Using the Back Input
- Load your ID, Envelop, or Single Page Document FACE DOWN, TOP EDGE FIRST into the rear feed tray, align it to the paper size mark, and gently push the document into the feed tray as indicated.
- Press Scan on Raven Desktop or on your Compact Scanner directly.
- The document will now pull through your scanner to scan and then come back out the way it scanned in.
- View your now scanned document on the Page Preview page of Raven Desktop or if Auto Send is turned on you can view it in its current destination.
NOTE: ONLY ONE SHEET CAN FEED THROUGH THE BACK INPUT TRAY AT A TIME.
