pCloud is a third-party cloud service that allows users to store their documents. While Raven does not have a direct connection to the platform, you can follow the steps below to scan via SMB into your pcloud.com account. Note that your computer will need to be online and on the same network as the scanner in order to implement the approach below. Alternatively, you can scan to pCloud using Raven Desktop.
Follow the steps below to add pcloud.com as a destination.
To enable your PC for Network Sharing:
- On your Windows PC click the START MENU.
- Select SETTINGS (Gear icon).
- Click NETWORK & INTERNET to open Network status.
- Press SHARING OPTIONS from under the "Change your network settings" header.
- Within your CURRENT PROFILE (Private/Guest or Public).
- Turn ON network discovery.
- Turn ON file and printer sharing.
- Within ALL NETWORKS.
- Turn ON public sharing.
- Turn ON Use 128-bit encryption.
- If you would like SMB with Authentication ON, turn ON password protected sharing.
- If allowing "Guest" turn OFF password protected sharing.
- Within your CURRENT PROFILE (Private/Guest or Public).
Enable Sharing for pCloud Desktop APP

- Right click on the pCloud Drive from within the file explorer.
- Select PROPERTIES.
- Click SHARING from the header.
- Under “Network File and Folder Sharing” press SHARE.
- Choose name from list to share with specified user (Please note: The user must be a user on the specific PC in order to share with authenticated account).
- Select the user who will have permissions to upload and select SHARE.
- Press DONE.
- Within Advanced Sharing press ADVANCED SHARING button.
- Check SHARE THIS FOLDER.
- Click the PERMISSIONS button.
- Select ADD.
- In the "Enter the object names to select" field, enter the name of the user. (Please Note: For Windows accounts WITHOUT a password you will need to add "Guest" with "Full Control" within the PERMISSIONS settings.)
- Press CHECK NAMES button.
- If the user exists, name will be changed into a path (e.g COMPUTERNAME\USERNAME).
- Click OK.
- In the "Permissions for (Folder Name)" window select the newly added user.
- Once highlighted, check FULL CONTROL box under Allow.
- Click APPLY.
- Select OK.
- You will be returned to the ADVANCED SHARING window.
- Select APPLY.
- Press OK.
Setting up SMB On Raven Scanner:
- Select the DESTINATION tile on the home screen.
- Press + ADD in the top left corner of the screen.
- Click NETWORK.
- NETWORK SETTINGS screen will now appear.
- Enter a DESTINATION NAME (the name entered here will be displayed on your Destination Menu).
- Locate and enter your IP ADDRESS (To find your IP address, go to Settings, select View your network properties, and locate the IPv4 address).
- PORT NUMBER can be changed if your SMB/NAS is located on port other than 445.
- Type the FOLDER NAME of the folder on your PC (for sync.com, if you are scanning to a certain folder, please enter the folder name as Sync/foldername).
- USERNAME is the username that the user is set up with on the Windows PC (IF REQUIRED).
- PASSWORD is the users password that is used to log in to the Windows PC (IF REQUIRED) .
- Click TEST CONNECTION to verify connection (Test Connection will upload a temporary file to verify set up is complete).
- Press SAVE to finalize your changes.
Please note: Uploading to SMB will have a slight delay compared to other destinations due to Authentication. Adobe must be set as your default .PDF program for files to successfully upload as .PDF documents.
