The "Error Occurred While Scanning The Pages" error can often be resolved by following the steps below. There are multiple steps to be taken and should be followed in order to ensure proper troubleshooting of this issue.
Follow the steps below to troubleshoot "Error Occurred While Scanning The Pages" Error on your Raven Scanner.
Confirm the roller cover is securely in place
- Power off your Raven Scanner by unplugging the power source from the back of the machine.
- Looking at your Raven Scanner, locate the black lever on the top right corner.
- Press the lever to open your LCD display.
- Below the feeder tray you should locate a white down-facing arrow.
- Press down to ensure the cover is securely in place. (You may pull the cover open and place back into place).
- Close the LCD display
- Power on your Raven Scanner
- The power button should be solid blue to show no hardware errors and you are ready to scan.
If the above steps did not resolve the error, follow the steps below.
Verify scanner software version is up to date
- From the main screen, press the GEAR icon at the top right corner of the LCD screen.
- Select SETTINGS from the side menu.
- Scroll to ADVANCED SETTINGS.
- Locate APP INFO and press CHECK FOR UPDATES to verify you are using the newest software version.
- If your scanner is up to date, you will receive a "You have the latest version installed!" banner on the top of your scanner.
- If an update is needed, please follow the steps on your screen to complete the software update.
If the above steps did not resolve the error, follow the steps below.
Verifying your connection
- Press the GEAR icon at the top right corner of the LCD screen.
- Select NETWORK from the side menu.
- Under the Network tab, you should see connected under the Wi-Fi or Ethernet options.
- If connected to a network click the BACK to return to the home screen.
- If it shows you are not connected, please connect to a network.
- Load documents into the feeder tray.
- You can now scan your documents.
If the above steps did not resolve the error, follow the steps below.
Connecting to an Ethernet connection
- Locate your nearest Ethernet cable and connect to your Raven Scanner.
- Power off your Raven Scanner by disconnecting the power source from the back of the machine.
- Connect the power source to your Raven Scanner and press the power button.
- Now that your scanner has restarted, use the mentioned above steps from Verifying your connection to confirm you are connected via Ethernet.
- Load documents into the feeder tray.

You can now scan your documents. (If you are successfully scanning pages via Ethernet connection, please disconnect your Ethernet connection and attempt scanning on Wi-Fi if that is your preferred connection choice.)
