The "Feeding To The Scanner Failed, Please Try Again" error can often be resolved by following the steps below. There are multiple steps to be taken and should be followed in order to ensure proper troubleshooting of this issue.
Follow the steps below to troubleshoot "Feeding To The Scanner Failed, Please Try Again" Error on your Raven Scanner.
Confirm the feeder tray is securely in place
- Open the LCD panel of your scanner by pressing the button / lever on the top of your LCD panel.
- For 1st Gen models (serial numbers beginning in 553 or 554), using the two (2) white pins, press away from the feeder tray to release the tray. For 2nd Gen models (serial numbers beginning in B100), firmly pull the feeder tray out from the scanner.
- Re-install the feed tray be aligning the feeder tray and firmly pressing into place.
- Once installed you may re-attempt to scan.
If the above steps did not resolve the error, follow the steps below.
Restart your Raven Scanner
- Locate the switch on the back of the device and turn off.
- Unplug your device from the power adapter.
- Reconnect the power adapter to the device.
- Turn the switch to the on position.
- Your device will now power on.
- Load one (1) document into the feeder tray and press scan.
If the above steps did not resolve the error, follow the steps below.
Verifying your connection
- Press the GEAR icon at the top right corner of the LCD screen.
- Select NETWORK from the side menu.
- Under the Network tab, you should see connected under the Wi-Fi or Ethernet options.
- If connected to a network click the BACK to return to the home screen.
- If it shows you are not connected, please connect to a network.
- Load documents into the feeder tray.
- You can now scan your documents.
If the above steps did not resolve the error, follow the steps below.
Connecting to an Ethernet connection
- Locate your nearest Ethernet cable and connect to your Raven Scanner.
- Power off your Raven Scanner by disconnecting the power source from the back of the machine.
- Connect the power source to your Raven Scanner and press the power button.
- Now that your scanner has restarted, use the mentioned above steps from Verifying your connection to confirm you are connected via Ethernet.
- Load documents into the feeder tray.

You can now scan your documents. (If you are successfully scanning pages via Ethernet connection, please disconnect your Ethernet connection and attempt scanning on Wi-Fi if that is your preferred connection choice.)
Replace Pad Module (serial numbers beginning in 553)
- Open the LCD panel of your scanner by pressing the black button the top of your LCD panel.
- On back of the LCD screen, press the two white tabs and pull towards you.
- Insert the new pad module by inserting the bottom two pegs into the holes.
- Press the top of the new Pad Module into place and verify it is securely in place.
- Close the LCD panel on the scanner.
- You can now scan your documents.
